Gift a Skydive from €250: The 2026–27 Gift Guide

Gift a skydive from €250: the right jump for every recipient, a voucher emailed instantly and valid all season, plus free weather rebooking.

By the PACMA teamUpdated 19 October 202615 min read

When you gift a skydive, you are giving someone a minute they will talk about for years: the open door at 4,000 m (13,000 ft), around 50 seconds of freefall, then the silence under canopy facing the Middle Atlas. To get the present just right, match the right jump to the right person, check three requirements (weight, age, health), understand how the voucher works and plan the reveal. This guide brings together everything our instructors explain each winter to people planning this gift, with the prices and rules that apply at PACMA in Beni Mellal, Morocco.

The essentials in 30 seconds

  • Price: tandem skydive €250 (2,500 MAD for Moroccan residents), tandem + video pack €350, AFF first jump €500, or an amount of your choice.
  • Delivery: the voucher arrives by email as soon as you pay, ready to print or forward, with your personal message.
  • Validity: the whole season, until 4 April 2027 for a voucher bought today. The date is printed on the voucher.
  • Peace of mind: a club approved by the French Parachuting Federation (FFP), founded in 2000, and free rebooking if the weather calls for it.

Why gift a skydive? A present they will still be talking about in years

Because things get put away, while experiences get retold. A skydive packs anticipation, the rush of freefall at close to 200 km/h (120 mph) and the pride of having dared into a single day. Your recipient will talk about it long afterwards, and they will talk about it with you: it is a gift that brings people closer.

Research backs this up. In a series of studies published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Cindy Chan and Cassie Mogilner found that experiential gifts bring giver and recipient closer than material gifts, largely because of the strength of the emotions involved.

In practical terms, here is what you are giving:

  • a 15 to 20-minute climb in a Pilatus PC-6 Porter to around 4,000 m;
  • around 50 seconds of freefall at close to 200 km/h;
  • 5 to 7 minutes under canopy, in near-total silence, with the Tadla plain below and the Middle Atlas peaks, often snow-capped in winter, straight ahead;
  • a whole day of emotions: the welcome, the briefing, the wait by the runway, then the landing, after which most people need a few minutes to find their words.

It is also a gift that can be shared. Friends and family are welcome at the dropzone, watch the landing from the edge of the runway and can have lunch in the caidal tent (70 MAD per meal). Your recipient does not live their jump alone: they live it in front of the people who matter to them.

Which skydive should you give: tandem, tandem + video or AFF first jump?

For a first time, give the tandem skydive (€250): no experience is needed and the instructor handles everything. Add the video (€350 pack) if they love sharing memories. Keep the AFF first jump (€500) for someone who dreams of learning and pulling their own parachute. Every option takes place in Beni Mellal, from December to early April.

Quiz: which voucher to give?

Which skydiving gift voucher should you give?

Up to 3 questions to find the gift that wows. The voucher prints as soon as you've paid: perfect, even at the last minute.

Question 1 of 3

The person you are giving it to…

The tandem skydive: the universal gift

On a tandem skydive, your recipient is harnessed to a qualified instructor who handles everything: the exit, stability in freefall, deploying the parachute and the landing. No experience is needed; the ground briefing is enough. It is the right choice in the vast majority of cases, particularly if you are not sure how the person will react to the idea of jumping.

Tandem with video: for keeping the memory

A camera flyer jumps alongside the tandem and films the whole freefall, facing your recipient. The edited video and high-definition photos are handed over the same day. Our advice: if your budget stretches, go straight for the pack. For someone whose eyes are wide open but whose brain is overloaded, rewatching the footage is often half the fun. Think about it when you buy, or at the latest when the jump is booked: the camera flyer jumps at the same time as the tandem.

The AFF first jump: for the one who wants to fly

The AFF first jump (Accelerated Freefall, known as PAC in France) is not a passenger ride. After ground training, your recipient jumps on their own parachute, held by two instructors during freefall. They deploy it themselves, then are guided all the way to landing. The jump counts as level 1 of the full course.

Give it to someone who:

  • has been talking about "getting their licence" for ages;
  • already does a technical sport (diving, climbing, paragliding) and likes to understand what they are doing;
  • prefers learning to simply going along for the ride.

For a more anxious person, the tandem is the perfect gift: AFF demands concentration and personal commitment, plus an FFP-approved medical less than three months old, whereas on a tandem the instructor takes care of everything.

Which skydive to give to whom?

Start from the person, not their age or gender: for the adventurer, the tandem with video; for the one who wants to learn, the AFF first jump; for the one on the fence, an amount of their choice. Here is our guidance for the profiles we see most often.

For him: a skydive for your husband, dad or brother

"Original" gifts for men often end up as gadgets. A skydive becomes a story he will tell his friends. For a sports fan, a car or aviation enthusiast, the AFF first jump has real appeal: he pulls his own parachute on his very first jump. For someone who loves the good life, the tandem + video pack and a weekend in the sun hit the mark.

For her: a skydive for your wife, mum or sister

Same rules, same options: the appetite for thrills has no gender. For a spring occasion, note that International Women's Day, 8 March, falls right in the middle of the season: a voucher given that day can be used before 4 April. Mother's Day and Father's Day dates around the world are covered in our article on Mother's Day and Father's Day.

For someone who has everything

This is exactly when an experience beats an object: nobody already owns "50 seconds of freefall facing the Atlas". More ideas in the same spirit are gathered in our selection of gifts for someone who has everything, and in our list of 50 bucket list experiences.

For a couple, friends or a team

To jump as a pair, give two tandem vouchers for the same day (see our article on couples skydiving). For a group of friends or a stag or hen party, see our stag and hen ideas in Marrakech; for a team, our team building ideas. From 10 people, a group rate applies on request.

For a teenager, a parent or a grandparent

There is a minimum age (shown on the tandem page) and minors need parental consent. There is no upper age limit as long as health allows. For a milestone birthday, our article on skydiving for your birthday suggests a jump for every age.

How does a PACMA gift voucher work?

You choose the jump or an amount, pay online by card from any country and the voucher arrives instantly by email, with your message and a unique code. Your recipient then books their date online, on any open day of the season, entering the code at checkout. The voucher is valid for the season.

  1. Choose a specific jump (tandem, tandem + video pack, AFF first jump, AFF course) or an amount of your choice, and write a personal message, which is printed on the voucher.
  2. Pay online by card, with 3-D Secure authentication, through Tiki, via the payment institution Chari Money. Payment is charged in Moroccan dirhams (MAD), and the exact amount is shown before you confirm.
  3. The voucher arrives instantly by email, with a link to view and print it. It shows the jump or amount, both your first names, your message, a unique code and its expiry date.
  4. Your recipient books their date online and enters the voucher code at checkout. A "jump" voucher covers the jump you gave; an "amount" voucher is deducted from the total.

How long is the voucher valid?

The voucher is valid for the season, up to its last day (the first Sunday in April). A voucher bought in October or November covers the whole following winter season: for 2026–27, 5 December 2026 to 4 April 2027. One bought during the season remains valid until the season ends; one bought between seasons, in spring or summer, covers the next season. The exact expiry date is printed on the voucher: point it out to your recipient so they book their jump day without waiting and get the best slots.

Check a voucher's expiry date for any purchase date:

How long is your gift voucher valid?

A PACMA voucher is valid for the whole season. Enter the purchase date: we work out the last day to jump.

The rule: a voucher is valid until the last day of the current season, or of the following season if bought between two seasons. The season runs from the first weekend of December to the first weekend of April: plenty of time to pick the perfect date.

Valid until Sunday, 4 April 2027

Bought before opening, it covers the whole 2026-2027 season, which opens on 5 December 2026.

The exact date is printed on the voucher.

What if the weather rules out jumping?

Your recipient is covered. If wind or low cloud makes jumping unsafe, the chief instructor makes the call and the jump is moved free of charge to another date in the season, or converted into a credit. Your recipient loses nothing: they just need to keep their plans a little flexible.

Experience box or a voucher from the dropzone?

A voucher bought directly from the dropzone gives you the club's public price, a printed expiry date and online booking on the real schedule. Our comparison of experience boxes and dropzone vouchers sets out what to check before you choose.

How do you gift a skydive to someone who is scared?

That's exactly who the tandem is for! No experience and no special courage are needed: an experienced instructor takes care of everything, and all they have to do is enjoy it. Give it as an invitation, never as a dare, share the facts that reassure (qualified instructor, automatic activation device, FFP-approved club) and let them choose their moment: a voucher valid all season gives them time to warm to the idea, and those pre-jump nerves become a memory they will be proud of.

Test the waters without spoiling the surprise

A few weeks beforehand, bring it up casually: share a freefall video, ask "would you ever do that?". Watch the reaction. "I'd never dare… but I'd love to" is a green light: that's the perfect tandem profile. A firm, repeated no, or visible discomfort at the very thought, are signals to respect: a different present will bring more joy.

Frame it as an invitation

Avoid lines like "no backing out now". Try instead: "I'm giving you the chance to do it, whenever you like, with a qualified instructor at an FFP-approved club." Valid for the whole season, the voucher leaves time to warm to the idea.

Reassure with facts

Fear feeds on the unknown, and the facts dispel it. Tell your recipient what really happens:

  • they will be harnessed to a qualified tandem instructor for whom this is the day job;
  • every parachute system is fitted with an automatic activation device that deploys the reserve if needed;
  • PACMA is a club approved by the French Parachuting Federation (FFP), and the chief instructor decides each day whether the weather allows jumping;
  • the stomach-churning "drop" of a rollercoaster is barely felt: at 4,000 m you leave an aircraft that is moving forward, and it feels more like being held up by a very strong wind.

To go further, our article on fear of skydiving answers the questions that worry people most.

Offer a way out

Say it clearly: if, on the day, they do not want to jump, they do not jump. An amount-of-your-choice voucher is particularly useful here, because it can also go towards another option. That safety net is often enough to turn fear into curiosity, and then into excitement.

How do you gift a skydive to someone who lives far away?

Easily: you pay online from any country, the voucher arrives instantly by email and you forward it to your recipient, wherever they live. They book their date with the code, then head to Beni Mellal: 2 hours by road from Casablanca, 2.5 hours from Marrakech. The gift becomes a winter-sun trip.

A gift that turns into a winter getaway

Between December and April, many dropzones in northern Europe are only ticking over, while winter days in Beni Mellal are generally sunny and mild. Gifting the jump also means gifting a wonderful reason to chase the sun. Our gift voucher page sums up everything you need to know for a recipient who lives abroad.

How to plan it

  • Fly into Casablanca or Marrakech. The dropzone is at Beni Mellal airport, 2 hours by road from Casablanca and 2.5 hours from Marrakech. From Marrakech, treat yourself to a full day, or better still, a weekend at the foot of the Atlas.
  • Jump early in the trip. Put jump day at the start of your stay, not the day before your flight home. If the wind forces a delay, you still have days in hand.
  • Stay a night. Beni Mellal and the surrounding area (the Aïn Asserdoun spring, Bin el Ouidane lake, the Ouzoud waterfalls) are worth lingering over. The club is open every day of the season, 8:30 am to 6 pm.

Here at Beni Mellal: plenty of French skydivers and instructors spend the winter at the dropzone, and the team is used to welcoming visitors from Europe. If you would like your briefing in a particular language, mention it when you book.

What should you check before you buy? Age, weight, health

Three quick checks guarantee a gift that goes without a hitch: weight (90 kg, about 14 st 2 lb, fully dressed for a tandem), age (a minimum age, shown on the tandem page, and parental consent for minors) and health (a medical certificate, or a check-up on site for 200 MAD). Do them before you pay, discreetly if it is a surprise.

  • Weight. For a tandem, the maximum is 90 kg fully dressed. Above that, the jump is not possible for equipment and safety reasons. Our article on the skydiving weight limit explains the limits.
  • Age. A minimum age applies (see the tandem page) and minors need parental consent. There is no upper age limit if health allows. Full details are in our article on how old you need to be to skydive.
  • Health. A medical certificate confirming fitness to skydive is required. Without one, a check-up is available on site with the club doctor (200 MAD). For the AFF first jump, an FFP-approved medical less than three months old is required. Heart conditions, back problems, pregnancy: ask a doctor before you buy.

How to reveal the gift: four ideas that work

How you give it matters almost as much as the gift itself. Four simple ideas:

  • The handwritten card. The printed voucher with your personal message, tucked into a card that simply reads: "See you at 4,000 metres."
  • The clue box. A pair of sunglasses, a map of Morocco, a toy parachutist, then the voucher. They have to guess before opening the envelope.
  • The countdown. One clue a day for a week ("4,000", "200 km/h", "50 seconds"…) until the big reveal.
  • The group gift. Several friends club together for an amount voucher and come along to watch: jump day becomes a group outing.

Ready-to-copy messages, riddles and printable cards: find 25 ideas in our article on how to reveal a skydive gift. For specific occasions, our dedicated guides have tailored ideas: Christmas, Valentine's Day or skydiving as a couple, and birthdays.

Ready to give an unforgettable gift? Everything happens on our skydiving gift voucher page in a few minutes: choose the jump, add your personal message and receive the voucher instantly by email. This very evening, you can give 50 seconds of freefall facing the Atlas. For every activity and rate, see our prices.

Frequently asked questions

How long is a gift voucher valid?

A PACMA gift voucher is valid for the season: until the last day of the current season (the first Sunday in April, which is 4 April 2027 for the 2026–27 season), or of the following season if bought between seasons. The expiry date is printed on the voucher. A voucher bought in the autumn therefore covers the whole of the following winter season: plenty of time to pick the perfect day.

Can the recipient choose their own date?

Yes, that's the whole point of the voucher. They book online themselves, on whichever date suits them during the season, entering the voucher code at checkout. And if the weather rules out jumping that day, the jump is moved free of charge.

How much does it cost to gift a skydive?

At PACMA, a tandem voucher costs €250 (2,500 MAD for Moroccan residents), the tandem + video pack €350 (3,500 MAD) and the AFF first jump €500 (6,000 MAD). You can also give an amount of your choice, deducted from the booking total. The voucher arrives by email as soon as you pay: it's also the ideal last-minute present.

Can I give a skydive to someone over 65?

Yes, and it's often a long-held dream! The club has no upper age limit if health allows. The recipient must be within the 90 kg weight limit and bring a medical certificate confirming fitness to skydive (or have the on-site check-up). For an older person, getting medical advice first is strongly recommended.

Can the video be added later?

Yes, up to the booking: your recipient can add the video and photos option (€100, or 1,000 MAD for residents) when they choose their date. That's the moment to do it, because the camera flyer jumps at the same time as the tandem.
